MEET THE TEAM

CO : Founder & Head of Design

Mateusz Przystał

Co-founder of D61 Design and Head of Design

Mateusz Przystał

Designer and the creative half of the D61 Design founding duo. Journalists write about him: "young and with experience" - Mateusz was born in 1995, but he took his first steps in design as a teenager. He grew up on the so-called "hard design", i.e. cooperation with heavy industries. He willingly chooses means of transport for the design challenge (from futuristic camper vans and scooters for the disabled people to electric buses), but his portfolio also includes collections of metal furniture for Metalkas, functional solutions of the Moya gas station in the capital of Poland or Balticus watches.

Every year, he is a 3D design tutor at one of the high schools in Warsaw. Professionally he "grew up" alongside Janusz Kaniewski. Today Mateusz Przystał follows his own, independent path. Every project is a new challenge and a different set of needs. At D61 Design he looks for answers to them.

Piotr Luty

A manager with experience in the automotive industry since 1995, graduate of The School of Management and Banking in Cracow, participant of numerous training programs such as: ICAN Institute or Harvard Business Review Polska. According to Piotr, being able to give feedback and appreciate coworkers is the key to success. Knowing the industry so well, he can definitely say that the impossible doesn’t exist – and that was the main vision while creating and becoming a shareholder of OE Industry, a company he has been managing since 2012. His job in D61 Design is something he has been doing all his life – Piotr is responsible for the demanding business part, balancing between the abstract creative reality and the world of numbers.

Hubert Dąbrowski

Automotive Designer

Hubert Dąbrowski

Alumnus of Automotive & Transport Design faculty at Coventry University. His professional career has begun at Astheimer design studio. Straight after graduation he joined SAIC Advanced Design London, where he was involved in creating new generations of MG and Roewe cars. After coming back from Great Britain he has worked as an independent designer in order to finally become a member of D61 Design team.

At work, so as in life he is an enthusiast of non-obvious yet meaningful solutions. He believes that the important things not always shine the brightest light. Besides the design world he tends to dive into very diverse fields of interest. One time it is ceramics craftsmanship, another time it is learning about blockchain technology. His passion for biking however remains his unchanged hobby. He claims that there is no such problem that you cannot ride away from.

Project Manager

Kamil Makowski

Project Manager

Kamil Makowski

Kamil loves being surrounded by the creative and full of ideas people. He studied economics but the world of finance and numbers has not engaged him as much as the world of design - in which he feels at home.

At D61 Design he coordinates the work of the design team, being a link between the Studio and Clients. Thanks to his work, our designers have the best conditions to have their heads in the clouds... although Kamil makes sure that they keep both feet firmly on the ground at the same time.

We keep

both feet on the ground

We assume that modernity is not the rejection of tradition, but in its creative processing. We boldly draw on the achievements of the most outstanding representatives of European design, creating projects of a timeless form.

We keep both feet on the ground, keeping to the established budgets and deadlines, but at the same time we do what gives us great joy and satisfaction.
